CSR

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a concept that an organizations, especially (but not only) companies are having various types of responsibility towards all stakeholders, some of which are customers, employees, shareholders, communities and the environment in all aspects of company operations that include economic, social, and environment. Therefore, CSR is closely related to "sustainable development", which is an organization, particularly companies, in running its activities must be basing its decision not solely on the basis of its impact on the economic aspect such as the level of profits or dividends, but also must considering the social and environmental impacts arising in such decision, both short-term and longer-term. With such understanding, CSR can be said as the company's contribution to sustainable development objectives by implementing impact management (minimization of negative impacts and maximizing positive impacts) for all stakeholders.
